Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday said that if the parliament moves a resolution to hold trial of former dictator Pervez Musharraf, it will be implemented. If the house unanimously brings a resolution, we will implement it. I am with the parliament, he said addressing the National Assembly. If we are found lacking then I am answerable as parliament is the supreme body and we believe in its supremacy, he added. He reiterated that he is against the 17th amendment and article 58 2(b) of the constitution and strongly supports the charter of democracy. The Prime Minister said that since the National Accountability Bureau has become ineffective, it does not mean that there is no process of accountability. He said he has directed the ministry of law and attorney general to hold meetings of the committee and bring its recommendations before the parliament to do legislation for a new accountability law.
