US allowed expansion of embassy in Islamabad

Pakistan has allowed the US embassy to expand its jurisdiction despite secret agencies opposition.

The eight-storey building would consist of many kilometers where more than 6,000 personnel may have an accommodation. It is more than any cantonment.US embassy spokesman said that they have gained an NOC from the CDA and no other institution in Islamabad has expressed its reservation on the expansion of US embassy.Pakistani defense experts are of the view that the expansion of US embassy is a threat to national integrity which should not be allowed any more.Some are of the opinion that the US may use its embassy as a base camp for its strategic operations in South Asia and Middle East.
