Nineteen militants apprehended from Swat, Buner: ISPR

Trend of militants surrendering voluntarily is picking up while search and clearance operations by security forces are continuing in Swat and Malakand, an ISPR news release on Monday said. According to details, security forces in a search operation apprehended one militant from Panrsat near Chuprial and defused one IED on track Panrsat-Pankarai. During search operation by Security forces at Ashara near Bar Durshkhel and Shakardarra, two militants were apprehended and 3 houses of militant were demolished. Three militants voluntarily surrendered before the security forces at Shangla while six suspects were apprehended during search and clearance operation at Puronai and Kukarai. Security forces conducted search operation in Gokdara near Mingora and recovered 1 Small Machine Gun (SMG) alongwith 3 magazines, 2 pistols and 1 computer. In search operation in Salampur the security forces apprehended four militants and also recovered 4 rifles and 30 rounds of pistol. During search and clearance operation security forces apprehended one militant from Dargai Killay, Malakand while two others were apprehended from katalla village besides a grenade. So far, 239,689 cash cards have been distributed amongst the IDPs of Malakand.
