(Dunya News) - River Neelum, which flows through the city of Muzaffarabad, becomes the centre of tourist attraction during the summer season.
With its sapphire blue colour, the river is one of the famous rivers of Azad Kashmir. The cooling effect and peaceful sound of the flowing river has attracted many city dwellers who make their way to the spot to enjoy not just the fresh air, but also to let the beauty of the surrounding valleys sink in.
Flowing in the midst of beautiful mountains, this river’s presence makes many visitors fall in love with the scenic views. The especially built huts near the Neelum River also attract visitors.

“Visiting this place has refreshed me and all the grandeur of the Neelum river has made me feel very relaxed,” shared one of the tourists visiting the area.
While locals invited people to come and visit the area, they said that the river also offered a peaceful environment.
“River Neelum is a gift of God for us. It is not only beautiful but it has been used for hydropower generation projects,” said a local adding that people should come and visit.
