(Dunya News) – A four-day spring festival has brought a large number of people to Chitral in a bid to enjoy local games, music and culture.

The festival also featuring polo matches, in which riders galloped on their horses as spectators cheered for their teams, also witnessed paragliders amuse the spectators with their skills.

Situated on the mountainous region of Pakistan, Chitral has not just an interesting cultural heritage but also rare languages. The festival aimed to celebrate this heritage, local music and dance of the region.

Children participated in the festival and performed patriotic songs.

The festival’s aim was to promote culture as well as various types of local sports, including tug of war, fencing and archery.

The four-day spring festival will also include live poetry recital sessions and cultural shows.
