The festival which kicked off at Karachi’s National Museum of Pakistan displayed unique mesmerising cultural handicrafts of Sindh.

Many skilled handicraft workers participated in Sindh’s craft festival, including women from rural areas. With their expert handicraft work on traditional ‘rilli’– a handmade quilt with intricate needlework, colourful patch work, embroidery and applique, local artisans also participated in the festival.

These ‘rillis’ with beautiful colours were displayed along with Sindhi ‘gaj’ - a dress made of colourful threads and tiny mirrors with painstakingly intricate embroidery, especially worn by brides on their wedding day.
