Umme Rubab Chandio rejects rumours of settlement in murder case
Umme Rubab said the propaganda was being spread by the killers to mislead people.
DADU (Web Desk) – Umme Rubab Chandio has strongly refuted rumours circulating on social media claiming that she has reached a settlement in the triple murder case of her father, grandfather, and uncle.
In a statement, Umme Rubab said the propaganda was being spread by the killers to mislead people.
She reaffirmed that there would be no compromise in the case, declaring, “The killers are panicking because they know the punishment Islam and law have prescribed for them. They are trying to intimidate us, but they will fail. It has been 8 years, and I am still fighting. I will not rest until these murderers are hanged.”
She further vowed that her struggle would continue against the feudal system: “Write down my words, I will never compromise with the feudal lords. I am holding my father’s banner of resistance. InshaAllah, this struggle will succeed, and history will be made.”
It may be recalled that on January 17, 2018, Umme Rubab’s father, grandfather, and uncle were shot dead in Mehar, Dadu. Later, under the Supreme Court’s pressure, Sindh Police arrested the main accused, Zulfiqar Chandio, while he was traveling from Balochistan to Kashmore.
