Punjab police deny fraud case against Shahid Afridi
Police say plaintiff had lodged an FIR against other people
LAHORE (Web Desk) - The Punjab police have denied registering a case under the provisions of fraud and cheating against former captain of the national cricket team, Shahid Khan Afridi.
Afridi has shared a statement of Punjab police on his social media account.

In a statement released on Facebook, the Punjab police clarified that the news circulating on certain social media accounts regarding registration of an FIR against former cricketer Afridi with Rawat police station, Rawalpindi, under the provisions of fraud was untrue.
The police in its statement said no FIR had been registered against former cricketer Afridi.
They said the plaintiff had lodged an FIR against other people and mentioned the advertisement running on print, electronic and social media.
