Hamas warns against Israeli provocations at Al-Aqsa Mosque
Hamas has issued a stern warning condemning recent Israeli provocations at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, labelling them a “dangerous escalation”, TRT World reports.
An extremist Israeli group, Temple Mount Faithful, recently released a video depicting a simulated fire consuming Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, with the caption, “Coming soon in these days”.
The group, known for its calls to demolish Al-Aqsa and replace it with a Jewish temple, sparked outrage with the video.
Hamas condemned the video as part of an ongoing incitement campaign by Israeli right-wing groups, which it says are operating under the protection of the Israeli government.
In a statement, the group warned that these actions are intended to “Judaize the mosque and erase its Islamic identity.”

Netanyahu's party surges ahead in latest poll
A new opinion poll suggests Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s right-wing Likud party would form the largest single party in parliament if an election were held now, pointing to growing consensus after a slump following the October 7 attacks.
The poll, published in the left-wing Ma’ariv daily, showed Likud winning 24 seats, its highest score in the same poll since October 7, but still below its current 32 seats.
Netanyahu’s right-wing coalition, however, would lose an election held now, with 53 seats in the 120-seat parliament against 58 for the main opposition bloc, according to the poll.
Israel's provocative West Bank move sparks outrage
The country’s foreign ministry has said the move is a “serious escalation derived from the provocative approach aimed at expanding the scope of illegal settlement operations” in the occupied West Bank.
The statement comes after Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, accompanied by military commanders, visited the valley, which is located near the border with Jordan.
Netanyahu said there are attempts to smuggle “terrorists and weapons” from Jordan into the West Bank and announced a plan to build a stronger border barrier.
“We warn of the consequences of continuing these violations and undermining the international efforts aimed at stopping the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip,” Kuwait’s ministry said in its statement.
It added: “We renew our call for the international community to assume its responsibilities towards obliging the occupation authorities to stop their continuous violations.”
Three Israelis were killed on Sunday when a Jordanian truck driver opened fire after he entered the West Bank through the King Hussein (Allenby) Bridge between the Palestinian territory and Jordan.

Egypt’s Foreign Ministry said the crimes and abuses against innocent civilians in the occupied Palestinian territory must be halted immediately.
“This situation starkly highlights the failure of the international community to uphold its principles and values impartially, undermining its credibility and effectiveness. Therefore, it is essential for the UN Security Council to fulfil its responsibilities,” the ministry added.

The attack flattened part of the United Nations-run Al-Jawni school in Nuseirat on Wednesday, leaving only a charred heap of rebar and concrete.
