Israel's bulldozer approach leaves Palestinian homes in ruins

The United Nation has confirmed that the Israeli forces are knocking down Palestinian homes, and it has been confirmed from multiple reports.

Earlier, the Wafa news agency reported that Israeli bulldozers have demolished three residential buildings belonging to Palestinians in the village of Al-Jiftlik in the Jordan Valley and a residential apartment in the village of Al-Walaja northwest of Bethlehem.

Since 2009, Israeli forces have destroyed at least 11,159 Palestinian structures, rendering over 17,000 people homeless, the UN data says.  

Protesters sound off against Netanyahu

Thousands of protesters converged on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, to register their protest against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech.

Netanyahu is set to address a joint session of the US Congress today.

The protestors appealed to the Joe Biden administration to stop shipping arms to Israel, believing this action would bring an end to the war in Gaza.

 

US slams Israeli bill targeting Palestinian refugee agency

An Israeli bill seeks to declare the UN agency for Palestinian refugees a terrorist organisation, has invited criticism from the United States.

The US categorically mentioned that such efforts are “incredibly unhelpful.”

State Department spokesman Matthew Miller says, “UNRWA is not a terrorist organisation, and we urge the Israeli government and the Knesset to halt the movement of this legislation.”

He noted that “the attacks that the Israeli government has leveled on UNRWA are incredibly unhelpful. They do nothing to advance the cause of getting humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza”.

 

Hamas accuses Israeli PM of sabotaging Gaza war resolution

Hamas says Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu seems not ready for a ceasefire as he has hindered all serious efforts to end the Gaza war and secure the release of hostages.

Reuters news agency reported that Hamas described the speech of Netanyahu to the US Congress as “full of lies.”  

Israel carries out new raids in Gaza as Netanyahu visits US

GAZA (Reuters) - Israeli forces carried out new raids in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday (Jul 24), hours before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was due to address the US Congress.

The latest Israeli attacks destroyed homes in towns east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza and thousands of people were forced to head west to seek shelter, residents said.
