Palestinians say that the Israeli attack on Gaza on Saturday was a 'horrific massacre,' leaving more than 90 Palestinians dead and 300 wounded in al-Mawasi – an area in Gaza that was designated as 'safe.'

Israeli forces have reportedly demolished a Palestinian gas station in the town of Hizma, located in the occupied West Bank, just north of Jerusalem.

The gas station, known as Al-Salam and owned by the al-Khatib family, was destroyed by Israeli military bulldozers.

Eyewitnesses witnessed confrontations between Israeli forces and citizens during the demolition. The forces allegedly used gas bombs, stun grenades, and live bullets against the people and their homes.

Videos shared on local Palestinian channels depict the gas station reduced to rubble.

Israeli forces carried out dawn raids in Jenin, leading to arrests and destruction.

According to Wafa, a Palestinian home in the town of Yabad, located west of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, was raided, resulting in the arrest of a young man.

Besides, raids carried out in Jenin's Qabatiya city, where troops forcibly entered the home of a Palestinian man who was held in an Israeli prison, conducting a search. Meanwhile, a military bulldozer destroyed market stalls in the area, as reported by the news agency.

Local residents in Qabatiya resisted the raid and clashed with Israeli forces.

Swimming against the tide: 'My heart aches' says Palestinian Olympic swimmer

Palestinian-US swimmer Valerie Tarazi, 24, is one of eight athletes representing Palestine at the Paris Olympics.

“My heart aches for them,” Tarazi said of Palestinians in Gaza.

“Being in Paris on behalf of Palestine is a very important thing and taking part in a global swimming competition at a time when there are no places to train is surreal,” she said.

Palestinian athletes have taken part in the Olympics since 1996, when long-distance runner Majed Abu Marahil competed in Atlanta.

Marahil died in Gaza in June after not being able to get treatment for kidney failure at the besieged enclave’s devastated hospitals, officials said.

Lack of international action allows genocide in Gaza, Palestinian rights groups

Three Palestinian human rights groups have blamed the international community for Israel’s “deliberate massacres” of civilians in Gaza.

“The international community’s failure to end the ongoing genocide” has enabled Israeli attacks, including the latest “horrific massacres” in the al-Mawasi area, which killed at least 90, and in the Shati refugee camp, where Israeli warplanes bombed Palestinians at prayer killing 22 people, the rights groups said.

“International inaction continues to embolden Israel to perpetrate international crimes,” the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights, Al-Haq, and the Al Mezan Center for Human Rights said in a joint statement.

“States arming and financing Israel’s genocidal acts are complicit in these crimes, including genocide,” they said.

Brazil President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has strongly condemned the ongoing "endless massacre" in Gaza, joining the international condemnation of Israel's "successive attacks" on what are referred to as "safe zones". This includes a devastating strike in the al-Mawasi camp, resulting in the tragic loss of 90 lives.

In a statement, Izzat al-Risheq, a member of Hamas's political office, denied reports that the Palestinian group has withdrawn from recently renewed ceasefire talks.
