Speaking to the media at a British Asian Trust event in London, the actress said many people still feel ashamed to talk openly about mental health issues.

She said mental illnesses should be viewed in the same way as other medical conditions and highlighted the importance of initiatives aimed at promoting mental well-being. Mahira Khan also described the involvement of King Charles in the trust’s activities as significant.

The actress further condemned incidents of harassment and violence in society, saying there is a need to change public attitudes and ensure that those responsible are held accountable to set an example.

She emphasized that greater awareness and collective efforts are essential to addressing both mental health challenges and social issues.
