(Web Desk) - Wasim Akram, former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, performed Hajj alongside former skipper Misbah-ul-Haq and other former players.

During the Hajj rituals, a video of Wasim Akram performing Rami at the Jamarat in a bowling-style action went viral on social media.

The video sparked mixed reactions online, with some social media users praising the former fast bowler’s light-hearted style, while others criticised the act, saying sacred rituals such as Hajj should not be treated humorously.

Former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq and cricketer Sharjeel Khan also performed Hajj this year.

A few days earlier, pictures of Wasim Akram and Misbah-ul-Haq with former Pakistan opener Saeed Anwar had also gone viral on social media.
