Summary Atiqa Odho reveals her son encouraged her third marriage to Samar Ali Khan despite opposition from her mother and daughters after two failed marriages
KARACHI (Web Desk) - Senior Pakistani actress Atiqa Odho has revealed that it was her son who encouraged her to marry for the third time, while her mother was completely against the decision.
Speaking during a recent interview while discussing a private TV drama serial, the actress said she saw similarities between her son and the drama character “Sabak.”
Atiqa Odho shared that after the failure of her second marriage, and before marrying Samar Ali Khan, her son approached her and advised her to move forward with the relationship.
She said her mother strongly opposed the idea of a third marriage and viewed it as socially unacceptable. However, her son Bilal encouraged her by saying she had spent many years alone and it was time to accept Samar Ali Khan, who genuinely loved and cared for her.

The actress added that she initially hesitated to follow her son’s advice because her daughters were also against the decision. However, Bilal reassured her and told her not to worry, saying he would handle everything.
Atiqa Odho further revealed that her first marriage took place when she was only 15 years old and lasted for 10 years. Her second marriage, which she entered by choice, also did not succeed.
Following the failure of her first two marriages, the actress married Samar Ali Khan in June 2012. Dr Samar Ali Khan later served as a member of the Sindh Assembly from 2013 to 2018.
