(Web Desk) - Actress and model Areej Chaudhary, known for becoming Pakistan’s first Miss Pakistan, recently opened up about her views on relationships and her experiences in the entertainment industry during an appearance on Dunya News programme Mazaq Raat.

Areej, who began her journey through beauty pageants before transitioning into television and film, gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Natasha in the hit drama Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum.

While discussing her personal life, the actress revealed that she consciously maintains emotional boundaries. She shared that she avoids giving anyone the opportunity to confess their feelings if she does not see a future with them.

According to Areej, she prefers to step away early rather than allow someone to grow emotionally attached.

“I respect people’s emotions,” she said, explaining that if she senses someone developing feelings that she cannot reciprocate, she chooses to create distance.

She believes one-sided love only leads to disappointment and considers it unfair to let such situations continue.

Because of this approach, she claimed that no one has ever formally expressed romantic feelings to her.

During the conversation, Areej also spoke candidly about the darker side of the entertainment industry.

She alleged that professionalism is lacking among a significant portion of people working in the field, estimating that only a small percentage uphold proper standards.

Recalling an uncomfortable experience, she shared that a senior individual from the industry once addressed her inappropriately, using overly familiar language that made her uneasy.

Instead of ignoring the situation, Areej decided to confront it strategically. She arranged a pre-shoot meeting under the pretense of responding casually, but ensured her security team accompanied her to safeguard herself.

Through her remarks, Areej highlighted both her personal principles in relationships and the importance of maintaining boundaries and self-protection within the entertainment world.
