Nadia Afgan believes artists could work beyond borders

Says previously received offers for Indian Punjabi films
(Web Desk) – Nadia Afgan believes art knows no territorial boundaries, expressing her desire to work in Indian film industry.
“As an actor, I believe art transcends borders. If given an opportunity, I would love to work in Indian films.
“Their industry produces incredible work, and they have some outstanding,” she said.
Nadia Afgan, best known for her role in the iconic sitcom Shashlik, has captivated audiences with her performances in popular dramas such as Afsar Bekar E Khaas, Radd, Suno Chanda, Kabli Pulao, and Kala Doriya.
Currently, she is being praised for her roles in Jafaa and Tan Man Neel o Neel, where she portrays Sehar Khan’s mother.
Appearing on a talk show, she shared insights about receiving acting offers from India and her views on cross-border collaborations.
Discussing the possibility of working in India, Nadia expressed her openness to taking up roles across the border.
She revealed that she had previously received offers for Indian Punjabi films, but circumstances prevented her from pursuing them.
“Things didn’t align at the time — there were some issues, and my father’s health became a priority. Hopefully, I’ll get the chance in the future,” she shared.
Nadia also spoke about her bond with Indian actress Sonam Bajwa, whom she admires.
“Sonam is not only my favorite actress but also a friend. She once recreated a scene from Suno Chanda, which led to a heartfelt exchange and a budding friendship. Indian artists have immense respect for Pakistani talent,” she added.
