(Web Desk) - Hadiqa Kiani’s new track, titled ‘Jani Door Gaye’ pays tribute to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan with its Sufi and Qawwali elements.

Hadiqa Kiani has released her latest song ‘Jani Door Gaye’ and has wowed music lovers with the Sufi and Qawwali vibes of the song.

The song tells the story of two lovers who have been separated with no hope of reconciliation.

Hania Aamir and Wahaj Ali star in the video.

It begins with Hania locked in a room and being asked by her father to come and meet someone outside.

A closeup of Hania is then shown as a tear rolls down her cheek and she responds by saying she is coming.

Audiences are treated to the soft beat of the tabla as Hadiqa’s vocals are introduced, perfectly complimenting the music.

Hania is seen dressing up as a sombre bride and walks out of her room where a glimpse of Wahaj is shown, laying a bowl of petals on a step.

Hadiqa cradles a white dove before letting it go and the camera cuts to a closeup of Wahaj, implying that Wahaj is the dove that has been set free.

The latest release has been received exceptionally well and Hania and Wahaj have been praised for their performance in the music video.

One comment read: “I did not think anyone could cover a Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Qawwali perfectly, but Hadiqa has proven me wrong. A perfect cover.”

Another said: “Wahaj and Hania look stunning, and Hadiqa’s voice is just wow. I can feel the grief and pain just because of her voice.”

A third added: “Hania Aamir and Wahaj Ali are a dynamic duo, and their rendition of this Qawwali is proof of that.”
‘Jani Door Gaye’ was originally composed by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, but audiences have appreciated Hadiqa’s rendition of the masterpiece.
