Director Nitesh Tiwari clarifies issue surrounding "Bawaal"
Recently, director Nitesh Tiwari disclosed details about his new love story, "Bawaal," starring Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan.
In response to criticism that the Holocaust was mentioned in the trailer, Tiwari emphasised that his movie is not just about Adolf Hitler. The much anticipated "Bawaal" trailer was unveiled on Sunday.
The complicated bond between Varun and Janhvi's characters, who at first seem to have little in common, is explored in the film. They travel to Europe to explore the locations where World War II took place while their troubled marriage encounters difficulties.
The historical incident is brought up again throughout the narrative as the individuals debate a fictitious "world war within." Even Nisha, played by Janhvi Kapoor, says, "We all have a little bit of Hitler in us."
Nitesh Tiwari addressed the issue of the Hitler and World War II themes in the movie, which had drawn criticism on social media, during the trailer premiere event in Dubai. He emphasised that it is crucial to look at events and happenings that may have a substantial influence on a character's entire arc and interpersonal connections when they are being developed. Tiwari emphasised that the movie covers a variety of topics in addition to only Hitler, some of which spectators had not previously seen.
Regarding the inclusion of Hitler in the film, Tiwari clarified that the enormity of World War II necessitates careful selection of events. As Hitler played a significant role during that period, it was essential to incorporate his presence. Tiwari emphasized the importance of being factually accurate about the historical context while staying true to the film’s storyline.
