Apart from common people, icons like Shah Rukh Khan and Padukone also praise her

(Web Desk) - Rekha, an enduring Indian performer, has created a stir on social media with her breathtaking images for July/August 2023 edition of Vogue Arabia.

Not only many users praised the actress for still displaying grace but also icons like Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone also spoke to Vogue about their respect for the performer.

Khan lauded her in the interview, stating, "Her charisma is unmatched, and she leaves an indelible mark on every role she portrays."

Padukone reacted by saying, “Rekha’s aura is magnetic. She can effortlessly captivate an entire audience with just a glance, and her performances are a masterclass in acting.”

“Today there is an avalanche of young talent with extraordinary skills and I am thoroughly impressed by their debut performances. And it gives me great pleasure that I am here to witness their rise,” mentioned Rekha in the interview.

She continued, “It is also incredibly heartening to see how they resonate with me when so many of my colleagues have been long forgotten by this new generation. They recognise that the work I do now, very sparingly, is still done with a sense of great reverence for the craft, with gratitude, and absolute love.”

Rekha, who turns 70 the next year, continues to enthral a new generation of performers and viewers. Despite the fact that she hasn't made an appearance on the big screen since 2014, she defines herself as a "joyful and fulfilled recluse." She follows her instincts when deciding whether to go out in public and keeps control of her on-screen identity, valuing the freedom to decline invitations.

According to Vogue, she lives in a house in Mumbai that she called Pushpavalli after her mother. The interior of the house is decorated with antiques, priceless works of art, and old fabrics that pay respect to her childhood home.

Rekha's rigorous attention to detail and belief that cleaning is a form of spiritual devotion reveal her strong spiritual connection to her house. She transforms her home into a temple of tranquilly and ecstasy because she finds great satisfaction and fulfilment in the tiny moments of silence and presence. She says that "life feels like a living dream."
