 LAHORE (Web Desk) - According to reports, Ed Sheeran was unable to attend his grandmother's funeral because he was involved in a legal dispute over copyrights.

The singer had to appear in court in Manhattan, which caused him to miss the funeral of his 98-year-old grandmother.

Ed's father expressed his sorrow for his son's absence at the funeral, explaining that he had to be thousands of miles away in the United States to defend himself.

The funeral took place in Ireland on Wednesday, Ed was not able to attend due to his legal obligations.

In his eulogy, John Sheeran mentioned that Ed had spent time with his grandmother just a month before her passing and found comfort in that.
