Akhshay Kumar seeks blessings at Sikh temple in Amritsar

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar who is co-producing an upcoming film Speedy Singhs visited the Golden Temple in Indias northern Punjab state along with the cast and crew seeking blessings for his first cross-border venture.The film belongs to the comedy-drama genre and narrates the story of an ice-hockey team and its trials and tribulations among the Indian community based in Canada.Talking to media persons, Kumar said that he decided to produce the film after being impressed with the script of the film.Elaborating on the story of the film, he said it is essentially about ice-hockey and also reflects the mindset of an Indian family in Canada.The film is directed by Robert Lieberman and also marks the debut of actor/writer Vinay Virmani, who is also the protagonist of the film. The film also stars Anupan Kher, Russell Peters, and Camilla Belle among others.Speedy Singhss international version Breakaway will also hit the theatre in Canada on 23 September, a week prior to the global release of the original version.
