Iqra Aziz retracts from project starring Feroze Khan.
LAHORE (Web Desk) - Pakistani actress Iqra Aziz has retracted from the project starring Feroze Khan, who is in hot waters after his ex-wife’s allegations on being domestically abused by the "Khaani" actor.
Iqra was last seen alongside Feroze Khan in "Khuda Aur Mohabbat" Season 3 and they also shared the screen together in "Pinjra" alongside Imran Ashraf, directed and produced by Wajahat Rauf.
After recent accusations by Aliza Sultan, the "Ranjha Ranjha Kardi" actress took to her Instagram along with hashtags #saynotoviolence and #supportwomen saying, "To stay silent in the face of injustice is to side with the oppressor".
"In lieu of the situation regarding domestic violence, I have made the difficult but necessary decision to retract my project with Feroze Khan as a sign of support for victims of domestic abuse. I support Aliza Sultan for seeking justice, more strength, and power for you," she said.
The project is reportedly a Geo production form that Aziz has walked out of.
Several Pakistani celebrities also extended support to Aliza Sultan after she shared evidences of domestic abuse in the court. The celebrities are also demanding justice for Aliza.
On the other hand, Feroze denied all the allegations by his ex-wife and called them "untruthful".
