Naseebo Lal wishes to sing Pakistan's national anthem
LAHORE (Web Desk) - Renowned Pakistani singer Naseebo Lal says that given the chance, she would like to sing Pakistan’s national anthem.
The singer is currently in the limelight for being a part of the PSL 6 anthem with pop singer Aima Baig and hip-hop group Young Stunners. In just 4 days, the song has been viewed more than 5 million times on YouTube and is a hot topic on social media.
While most of the audience was left unimpressed by Naseebo Lal’s performance in ‘Groove Mera’, thousands of fans and personalities from fields of showbiz, music, politics and sports appreciated her distinct style.
Talking to local journalists in Lahore after the mixed reception of her song, Naseebo said the tune of ‘Groove Mera’ was difficult, which is why the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and PSL administration chose her to sing it.
“I had never sung to a tune like this but I took it as a challenge”, she said.
She admitted that besides the audio recording, it was also difficult to film the video of the song.
In response to a question, Naseebo Lal said that she wanted to sing the national anthem of Pakistan. She said that if given the chance, she could sing the national anthem in English style.
