Bollywood remake of Pakistani hit 'Sayonee' sparks anger on social media
(Dunya News) – Sung by famous Indian playback artist Arijit Singh, the remake of Pakistani band Junoon’s hit song ‘Sayonee’ by Bollywood’s Lucky Nadiadwala, Nitin Kumar Gupta and Abhay Singhal has sparked backlash on social media.
According to details, the music of the new Sayonee song has been composed by Joy-Anjan, while Alaukik Rahi penned its lyrics.

While reacting to the remake,Pakistani singer and composer of the original Sayonee, Salman Ahmed, has said, “When I was in college, most everyone in was singing Bollywood and western tunes on campus. Now Bollywood is singing #Junoon. #Sayonee has become the most covered, most performed #Pakistani song in the Subcontinent #Tabdeeli.”
