Atiqa Adho acquitted in liquor recovery case

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Pakistani versatile actress Atiqa Odho on Friday has been acquitted by the civil court in liquor recovery case after nine years of trial.

During the hearing, civil judge Yasir Chaudhry remarked that there was no evidence found against the actress.

On June 4, 2011, Atiqa Odho was stopped at Benazir International Airport when two bottles of foreign liquor were allegedly found in her bag at the time of checking in for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Karachi-bound flight PK-301.

The actress got interim bail from the court days after filing of a case against her.

Odho was granted immunity from attending the hearings until the final verdict after her regular appearances for six months.
