FIA arrests Man for blackmailing Tik Tokker Jannat Mirza
LAHORE (Web Desk) - A man from Lahore has been arrested by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for blackmailing famous tik tok star Jannat Mirza.
The accused, Asfandyar, had shared edited photos and inappropriate videos of Jannat and her sister online and claimed that they were real.
FIA arrested the accused along with two others from Lahore after Jannat registered a case in this regard in FIA’s Cyber Crime Division.
Asfandyar, who was arrested on charges of blackmailing, confessed during the interrogation and said that he wanted to marry Jannat’s sister but when she refused, he started harassing the two sisters online.
"I want one last chance," the accused told a private TV channel, expressing remorse over his actions and promising to never do it again. He has been handed over to FIA on physical remand for two days.
On the other hand, Jannat has said that all famous tik tokkers are facing some shape or form of blackmail. She said that as she has the most number of app followers in the country, the photos were meant to damage her reputation. She voiced resolve to not forgive those behind it and said she will seek justice.
