Gamers may not actually believe that Duke Nukem Forever is a real, playable game until they actually have it up on their screen. Its been more than a decade in the making with dozens of false starts.Its one of the more recognisable franchises and has its place in the history of video gaming. The near-bankruptcy of the games original developer meant it was finished by developer Gearbox, whose boss originally worked on 1996s Duke Nukem 3D. Gearbox Software joined forces with 2K Games to launch the final product.First announced in 1997 and slated for release in 1998, Duke Nukem Forever is the most delayed title in modern gaming history.The game hits stores in Europe on June 10 and the US on June 14.
