Atiqa booked for keeping alcohol

The airport authorities found liquor worth Rs 300,000 from film star Atiqa Odhos luggage, when she was going to Karachi from Islamabad on June 4, but failed to launch a case against her.According to sources, the film star had a seat reserved in the Pakistan International Airline flight number 301 but the actress was barred from boarding the plane as she was carrying some banned items.The airport authorities did not reveal the details of the banned items and the FIA had failed to take action against her.In an identical case, law took its course when contraband item was recovered from an airhostess.The Supreme Court took notice of the issue and sought explanation from FIA, saying that law enforcers were following double standards. The FIA officials had been issued notices to explain their position.Now the case had been registered against Odho by Airport Police Station.
