Death anniversary of renowned poet Munir Niazi being observed
KARACHI (Web Desk) – 13th death anniversary of renowned poet Munir Niazi is being observed today (Thursday).
Niazi was born in 1928 in India and migrated to Pakistan in 1947. Known for his melodious ghazals, he has also penned songs for famous films.
Some of his Urdu collections include “Taiz Hawa aur Tanha Phool”, “Jungle main Dhanak” and “Mah-e-Munir”.
He passed away on this day in 2006 after suffering from a respiratory disease.
