Yearender 2019: Mahira Khan, Mehwish Hayat named among sexiest Asian women 2019
The list has been published by UK newspaper for Asian women.
(Web Desk) – British newspaper, Eastern Eye, has revealed the sexiest Asian women on the planet list for 2019 which features Mahira Khan and Mehwish Hayat in its 16th edition.
According to Eastern Eye, Bollywood starlet Alia Bhatt has been crowned the sexiest Asian woman on the planet for 2019.
1) Alia Bhatt
The 26-year-old actress beat off competition from around the world and took the title from 2018 winner Deepika Padukone, who came in second, but was named sexiest Asian woman of the decade.
Topping the popular list for the first time rounded off a dream year for Alia that included acting awards, bagging big projects and starring in India’s official 2020 Oscar entry Gully Boy.
“Thank you to everyone who has voted! I’m flattered. I’ve always believed that true beauty goes beyond what is seen and that is what really counts. We’ll grow older, our appearances will change, but a good heart will always keep you beautiful and that is really what we should focus on,” said Alia Bhatt.
The longest running list of its kind based on millions of votes, media coverage, impact and heat generated across various social media platforms once again trended on social media globally. The list also includes three editor’s choices of women who made a massive positive impact in 2019.
Eastern Eye’s award-winning entertainment editor Asjad Nazir, who founded the list and puts it together annually, said: “There is no one on a bigger role than unstoppable star Alia Bhatt and nothing will prevent her from dominating the next decade of commercial Hindi cinema as the queen of Bollywood. More than a movie star she is a powerful symbol of girl power, who is a representation of the empowered modern day woman.”
2) Deepika Padukone
Bollywood queen Deepika Padukone stood out as second most sexiest Asian woman who have always make people go crazy with her elegance and unquestionable aura.
3) Hina Khan
Highest placed TV star Hina Khan is ranked third in the 2019 list.
Hina Khan is an Indian television and film actress. She is well known for playing Akshara in Star Plus’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and portraying Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay. She participated in the reality show Bigg Boss 11 and emerged as the first runner up in 2017.
4) Mahira Khan
Fourth placed Mahira Khan held onto her title of the sexiest Pakistani woman on the planet for a fifth year in a row and was also named sexiest Pakistani of the decade.
“I am so grateful to all my fans who continue to vote for me every year. This one is for a decade of love, ups and downs, support and magic. I have never considered myself sexy, but I believe when you do you – that’s sexy. And I hope I can continue to do just that,” said Mahira Khan.
5) Surbhi Chandna
Surbhi Chandna has been voted as fifth sexiest Asian woman in 2019.
Surbhi Chandna is an Indian television actress known for her portrayal of Annika Trivedi in Ishqbaaaz and Dr. Ishani Arora in Sanjivani.
6) Katrina Kaif
One of India’s highest-paid actresses, Katrina Kaif, has been named 6th sexiest Asian woman for 2019.
Katrina Kaif is an English actress who works in Hindi films. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics for her acting prowess, she has established herself in Bollywood and is one of India’s highest-paid actresses.
7) Shivangi Joshi
Shivangi Joshi climbed to seventh sexiest woman in Asia in 2019.
She is an Indian television actress known for playing Naira Goenka in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
8) Nia Sharma
Nia Sharma has been nominated as eight in the list.
She is an Indian television actress who made her television debut in 2010 with the series Kaali – Ek Agnipariksha,[1] and is known for portraying Manvi Vadhera in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, Roshni Desai in Jamai Raja and participating in Khatron Ke Khiladi 8. She starred as Aarohi Kashyap in Ishq Mein Marjawan from 2018 to 2019, and is currently portraying Naagin Brinda in Naagin – Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel.
Sharma shot to popularity with the web series Twisted. She was ranked second in the Top 50 Sexiest Asian Women 2017 list published by British-based Eastern Eye newspaper. Sharma was ranked third in 2016.
9) Mehwish Hayat
Mehwish Hayat has been named as ninth sexiest Asian woman in 2019. She is second Pakistani woman after Mahira Khan to be featured in the list.
She is a Pakistani film actor who is known for her roles in Load Wedding, Punjab Nahi Jaungi and Actor in Law. She was honoured by the Government of Pakistan with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2019.
The 2012 blockbuster romance serial Meray Qatil Meray Dildar marked a significant turning point in Hayat’s career, earning her praise and nomination for Best actress at Lux Style Awards. She later won the Lux Style Awards for Best television Actress for her portrayal of a strong headed in Kashif Nisar‘s acclaim series Kami Reh Gayi (2013).
10) Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra Jonas concluded the list with being the tenth sexiest Asian woman in 2019.
She is an Indian actress, singer, film producer, and the winner of the Miss World 2000 pageant. One of India’s highest-paid and most popular celebrities, Chopra has received numerous awards, including one National Film Award and five Filmfare Awards.
In 2017 and 2018, Forbes listed her among the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women.
