Khadijah said she felt 'humbled' and 'honoured' to have dressed the royal during her trip.

(Web Desk) – Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, has written a heartfelt letter to the Pakistani designer who dressed her on the royal tour of Pakistan, saying ‘I am so grateful to you and your team for the wonderful selection you made for me’.

According to DailyMail, the Duchess of Cambridge, 37, mixed designer with traditional outfits for her royal tour of Pakistan in October, donning a black and white embroidered kurti by prestigious brand Élan on the final day of her trip.

And now Khadijah Shah, the creative director for the high-end Pakistani brand, from Lahore, has revealed the royal wrote her a personal thank you note and admitted having ‘so many beautiful outfits’ made it ‘difficult’ to know what to wear.

Revealing the thank you note on Twitter, Khadijah said she felt ‘humbled’ and ‘honoured’ to have dressed the royal during her trip to the country.

The note, typed on Kensington Palace headed paper, thanked the designer profusely for ‘helping’ ahead of the royal tour.

Kate wrote: ‘Thank you so much for all of your help ahead of my tour to Pakistan.

‘I am so grateful to you and your team for the wonderful selection you made for me to chose from — although having so many beautiful things did make the decision making a little more difficult!’

‘I loved the outfit I wore, so thank you for all your time and effort.’

She added: ‘Pakistan is a really wonderful country, which we both thoroughly enjoyed visiting and hope to return to one day soon.’

Signing the letter ‘Catherine’, she finished: ‘This comes with my warmest thanks and best wishes.’

Sharing the note online, Khadijah revealed: ‘I was delighted to have even been considered, this is just humbling to a whole different level.

‘However what’s most commendable is the consideration, grace and thoughtfulness of HRH the Duchess Catherine, it is no wonder that she is so respected and beloved.’

While on the tour of Pakistan in October Kate mixed designers she knows and loves, such as Catherine Walker and Jenny Packham, with Pakistani brands, and often opted for traditional pieces in bold and bright colours.

On the final day of the tour, she donned the monochome kurta from Pakistani brand Élan as she joined Prince William, 37, at SOS Children’s village.

The Duchess wore a white tunic, which featured pretty black detailing, over a pair of white trousers.

The white tunic, which featured pretty black floral embroidery over it’s bodice, sleeves and hem, has not yet been released by the designer, and is set to go on sale next year.

The royal couple stopped in for the unexpected visit and played a game of cricket with the young children in the orphanage, before they set off to fly to Islamabad for the final day of the tour.

Throughout the tour, Kate was praised for selecting outfits which ‘reflected Pakistani culture.

Speaking exclusively to FEMAIL at the time, Karine Laudort, Fashion Expert Commentator, says: ‘Overall, Kate chose a very and simple style. The choice of fabric and style also reflected the country she visited.

‘Conscious of her surroundings and traditions of Pakistan, she opted for a non-ostentatious wardrobe, where less is more.’

‘The price range of every outfit has remained very affordable and in keeping with the discretion voluntarily displayed in each look.’
