Wedding bells for Jennifer Lawrence this weekend: reports
According to reports Lawrence, 29, will wed Maroney, 34, at the Belcourt of Newport in Rhode Island.
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Jennifer Lawrence, one of the most popular film stars in the world, is reportedly set to marry her art gallery director fiance Cooke Maroney on Saturday (October 19).
According to media reports Lawrence, 29, will wed Maroney, 34, at the Belcourt of Newport in Rhode Island, eight months after the couple got engaged.
Celebrity news website TMZ says the couple have enlisted the help of celebrity wedding planner Mark Seed to plan their nuptials, which around 150 people are expected to attend.
The pair sparked wedding rumours in September after being spotted at a New York City’s marriage bureau with celebrity photographer Mark Seliger.
The Oscar-winning actress previously revealed she wanted to marry Maroney, director at the Gladestone Gallery in New York, as soon as they met, even though she said wasn’t really looking to settle down before she began dating him. She has described Cooke as "the greatest human being" she has ever met.
The actress has previously been linked to Darren Aronofsky, director of ‘Mother!’, British actor Nicholas Hoult and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
Lawrence won the Oscar as best actress for her role in the 2012 romantic comedy "Silver Linings Playbook." Also known for her role as the heroine archer Katniss Everdeen in the blockbuster "Hunger Games" film series, she has been nominated for three other Oscars for her roles in "Winter’s Bone," "American Hustle" and "Joy."
