Atif Aslam unfolds Coke Studio season 12 with 'Wohi Khuda Hai'

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The most prestigious music show of Pakistan, Coke Studio, has finally returned and started with the rendition of ‘Wohi Khuda Hai’ sung by popular singer Atif Aslam.

‘Wohi Khuda Hai’ has been written by Muzaffar Warsi hailing tremendous power of God with which He has maintained the balance and harmony in the universe.

This hamd is about the divine-human connection and the legendary singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan has orginally made it famous with his soothing composition in his time.

Talking to Atif Aslam, he expressed that he has dedicated the mesmerizing music to his five-year old son. He hoped that one day his son will find his own journey and Allah through ‘Wohi Khuda Hai’. 

After the last few debauched years of Pakistan’s most prestigious music show ‘Coke Studio’, the maestro Rohail Hyatt is holding the reins once again for season 12.

Speaking at the launch of Coke Studio Season 12, Rohail Hyatt expressed, "In a world where there are multitudes of information, sounds and conversations to choose from, Coke Studio wishes to offer a space where one can contemplate the reverberations of a single guitar strum or the notes of a few piano keys".

He went on to say, "Traveling down the ladder of time, from the courts of the Delhi Sultanate and the music studios of pre-revolution Iran, through mountains and valleys, much like the water that trickles down from a natural spring, music came to Coke Studio’s canvas. At its core, Coke Studio remains an offering, a space where we share what has come to us".

Season 12 is coming with a huge and star-studded list of some of the best musician of Pakistan. With Atif Aslam making efforts to set the bar of next season high with Rohail Hyatt, the hype of season 12 has sky-rocketed for CS fans all over the globe.
