Mehwish Hayat lashes out at Priyanka Chopra for favoring war
Bollywood has more element of hatred against Muslims than Hollywood, Mehwish said.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistani actress Mehwish Hayat has lashed out at Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra for tweeting in favor of war.
In an interview, Hayat said that Priyanka is UNICEF’s peace ambassador, she should have promoted humanity instead of war without any pressure.
“Rather than use her position as a US-based celebrity to broaden what it means to be an Indian celebrity, she has fallen into the same jingoistic role that her fellow countrymen are forced to adopt at home,” she added.
Bollywood has more element of hatred against Muslims than Hollywood, she went on to say.
The actress further claimed that India is inciting its citizens against Islam and Muslims with different songs and slogans.
