Declined movie with Priyanka Chopra for 'Waar,' says Shamoon Abbasi
Shamoon further said that he was happy about his decision
(Web Desk) - Actor director Shamoon Abbasi revealed that he declined a sure shot to star opposite Priyanka Chopra while shooting for his movie ‘Waar.’
During an interview on a local media channel, Shamoon divulged details of his refusal of an offer, where Priyanka Chopra was supposed to be his heroin in a Vishal Bhardwaj movie because of his prior commitments with his movie ‘Waar.’
‘Hassan Zia the producer of ‘Wrong No. 2’ called me up and said that he was in Delhi with Vishal Bhardwaj, who wants to cast me opposite Priyanka, I told him that I’m shooting ‘Waar,’ perplexed he asked what is ‘Waar,’ leave whatever your shooting for and I’ll send you the tickets, fly over to Delhi.’
My reply angered him and he asked,’ Are you proposing that Priyanka Chopra should wait for you, I said Yes and he then he said No,’ he added.
Shamoon further said that he was happy about his decision because he made his nation proud with his movie ‘Waar’ and wanted to focus more on this industry without any shortcuts.
