Sadia Imam claims to have written Rahat's 'Jiya Dhadak Dhadak' lyrics

(Web Desk) - Actress Sadia Imam has recently claimed to have written the lyrics of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s hit song ‘Jiya Dhadak Dhadak Jaye.’
According to her interview on a local media channel, Sadia disclosed that she had a very good friendship with the singer so she didn’t care at the time of being given any credits for the lyrics that she had written.
‘I have written the lyrics of ‘Jiya dhardak dhadak jaye,’ when I wrote it, I myself didn’t believe that the lyrics would turn out so beautiful after the composition.’ she added.
She also mentioned to have written the lyrics of ‘Zindagi safar mai hai’ from the movie ‘Metro’. When asked why she didn’t get credit of the hit singles the actress replied.
‘I and Rahat are very good friends, my name isn’t mentioned because then I would’ve gotten the money for the lyrics.’
Talking on the matter she disclosed that Rahat told me that he couldn’t give her name because he didn’t reveal to them that it was penned by her. But he did appreciate her on many occasions for writing the lyrics.
Sadia further disclosed that she was writing a book which will be a tell all tale.
‘I gave the lyrics to Rahat and the onus of giving her the credit depended on his ethical values. Had I been given the credit it would‘ve remained in my name forever. I don’t blame him because It was his first exposure and he listened to their advice so he did what he thought best for him,’ she added.
Sadia revealed that she did discuss it with him and told him that it did hurt her but now she’s alright with what went down.
