Eminent writer and scholar Dr Enver Sajjad passes away

His real name was Syed Mohammad Sajjad Enver Ali Bukhari.

(Web Desk) – Esteemed writer and scholar Dr Enver Sajjad who was ill for quite some time drew his last breath on Thursday.

Dr Enver Sajjad has not only written a number of books but has also starred in dramas aired on PTV. Born on May 27, 1935, his real name was Syed Mohammad Sajjad Enver Ali Bukhari.

He is amongst Pakistan’s A-list of prestigious novelists, fiction writers, actors and playwrights.

The government honored Dr Sajjad with the Pride of Performance Award in 1989. His famous books are Janam Roop, Neeli Notebook and Rassi ki Zanjeer.

Zard Kompal, Nigar Khana, Saba aur Samandar, Istarai, Ajj, Pehli Kahaniyan, Chauraha, Khushyon ka Baagh were also penned by him.

Dr Enver Sajjad first novel Rug Sung was published in 1955, but he shot to fame because of his exubarent acting in Dramas, fiction writing and playwrights.

The deceased left a bereaving daughter and wife behind.
