Palestinian filmmaker Elia Suleiman debuts his 'It Must Be Heaven' at Cannes

(REUTERS) - Palestinian director and screenwriter Elia Suleiman brought his latest film "It Must Be Heaven" to the Cannes competition on Friday (May 24).
Suleiman also plays the lead role in the movie, which tells the story of a Palestinian seeking an alternative homehand, only to find that however far he travels, from Paris to New York, something always reminds him of home.
He is in competition for the top prize the Palme d Or, against the likes of Quentin Tarantino s star-studded drama "Once Upon a Time In Hollywood", and Pedro Almodovar s semi-autobiographical film "Pain and Glory."
The world s biggest cinema showcase runs until Saturday (May 25).
