Ali Zafar shares painting of his wife
Ali shared an oil painting of his wife painted during the 2nd year of his college
(Web Desk) – The rockstar Ali Zafar is a gifted artist, who recently shared an oil painting of his wife Ayesha Fazli painted during the 2nd year of his college, part of a college assignment.
While sharing his master piece Ali mentioned the technique employed by him.
‘A portrait I painted of @ayeshafazli as my second year college assignment. It was done to experiment with a technique that renaissance painter used. They would first paint the canvas to the darkest tone, then paint high lights with thick white oil paint. Once dried, thin layers of colour in oil were applied over weeks. This would give the effect of a more life like, translucent and real skin texture. Unfortunately I only had two hours to paint this so used acrylics on canvas,’ he added.
