(Web Desk) – Lahore High Court on Wednesday ordered an early hearing of the petition filed against the release of Bilal Lashari’s ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt.’
Justice Ameen-ud-din presided over the hearing, the defense counsel Buzdar Haider told the court that arrangements for the publicity and release of the movie ‘The legend of Maula Jatt’ are complete, thereby requesting an early hearing of the petition filed against the release of the movie.
According to local media reports, the court fixed the hearing of the petition in the coming week.
Earlier, LHC upheld the plea and issued a stay order against the release in March this year. Mohammad Sarwar Bhatti of Bahoo films filed a plea against the release of the movie on the basis of copy right infringement.
‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ is a sequel of the famous Maula Jatt released back in 1979. It has a star studded star cast including Fawad Khan, Hamza ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan and many others.
The movie is all set to enthrall audiences this Eid-ul-Fitr.
