(Web-Desk)- With global warming making summers sweltering hot and longer than usual. Winter and especially snowfall comes as a” blessing in White” for Pakistani’s who bewitched by the scenery of snow clad mountains, hills and trees throng to the hilly areas to find solitude, serenity and tranquility.

There is simply something enchanting about the foggy conditions caused by fall in temperatures that allures and attracts tourists from around the country to spend some magical moments in the hilly areas. Mesmerized and transfixed tourists throng to the northern areas as soon as they hear of snow fall, this year was no different.

For those of you charmed by the majestic peaks under the blanket of snow during the next 24 hours, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, light rain with snowfall over the hills is expected at isolated places in Malakand division, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Foggy conditions are expected in plains of Punjab, upper Sindh and Peshawar division during morning/night hours.

During last 24 hours, rain with snowfall over the hills occurred at scattered places in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Sahiwal, Lahore, Bahawalpur divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan. Foggy conditions prevailed in plains of Punjab and upper Sindh. Weather remained cold and dry in other parts of the country.

Temperatures fell in Skardu to -08°C, Gupis -07°C, Astore, Bagrote, Kalam -04°C, Malamjabba, Kalat -03°C, Parachinar, Murree, Rawalakot, Quetta, Dir -02°C.
