FBR imposes Rs253, 210 tax on film star Khushboo
The actress declared a yearly income of Rs 450,000 and gifts worth Rs1.65m.
(Wb Desk)-The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) imposed tax of Rs253, 210 on actress Khushboo.
In its bid to end tax evasion FBR has tightened its noose around showbiz stars and starlets whose tax returns show irregularities.
FBR had initiated income tax audit of the actress assets. Record of income details was also collected from the actress for the year 2016.
The actress declared a yearly income of Rs 450,000 and gifts worth Rs1.65m.
Several notices were issued to the starlet by Federal Board of Revenue for the discrepancies in the tax returns filed by the actress, seeking the details of those who gave gifts to the actress.
Upon non-disclosure of the details requested, FBR imposed the tax of Rs 253,210.
