(Reuters) - The first trailer for the live-action retelling of "The Lion King" has been released.

The movie, which will hit theaters next summer, boasts an ensemble voice cast that includes Beyonce, Donald Glover, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Seth Rogan.

Glover plays Simba, Beyonce plays his love interest Nala and Ejiofor plays Simba’s uncle, Scar.

The cast also includes James Earl Jones, who plays king Mufasa in both the 1994 original and next year’s film, and also narrates the trailer.

The footage, which first aired aired during NFL’s traditional Thanksgiving primetime game in the US, features the re-imaging of the classic scene where Rafiki presents Simba to the kingdom’s animals at Pride Rock.
