Gul Bahar Bano's abduction case takes new twist as another brother emerges
After Fareed's revelations, police have expedited probe into the incident.
BAHAWALPUR (Dunya News) – A new twist emerged pertaining to case of alleged abduction of acclaimed singer Gul Bahar Bano by his step brother Mohammad Ayaz on Wednesday.
As per details garnered, a person identified as Ghulam Fareed approached police station. Fareed told officials that he is real brother of Bano while accused step brother Ayaz of abducting and mentally torturing his sister for acquiring her [Bano’s] wealth forcefully.
After Fareed’s revelations, police have expedited probe into the incident.
Earlier on Tuesday, police raided a house located in Khanqah Sharif—a city located in the west of Bahawalpur— on secret tip off and recovered Gul Bano being held captive in the dark and filthy room.
When inquired, Ayaz stated that Bano was suffering from mental illness after sad demise of his husband whereas treatment for the same was underway in Karachi’s Agha Khan Hospital.
Ayaz went on to say that he had chained Bano owing to the reason that she ran away from the house time and again.
