Coke Studio 11: Chand Tara's Nami Danam is the 'Aatish' of Episode 4
A different and quite enthralling, another rendition of a classic 'Nami Danam'.
(WebDesk) - The forth chapter of coke studio 11 is all good but quite usual. From Asim Azhar and Momina Mustehsan ‘Mahi Aaja’ typical coke studio rendition to the ecstatic romantic lyrical treat Shuja Haider and Aima Baig’s Aatish to the Chand Tarre’s delighted ‘Nami Danam’ croon, the fourth episode is a combo of glittery affair of melody, poetry and celebrated artists that charmed the latest musical instalment.
Mahi Aaja

Mahi Aaja is a euphoric pop tune, well sung and wisely executed soundtrack but unknowingly did not hit anything inside. Despite, all the right ingredients required for the perfect recipe, something is badly missing from Mahi Aaja. It no longer manages the innovation of Coke studio. If not disappointing than not much captivating. It somewhat feels like a class-less hampered extension of coke studio 9’s ‘Tera woh Pyaar’.
Beginning feels interesting but the notch losses grip as it moves on. Lyrics really play an important part that the producers are required to work on. The legendry coke studio duo the heart throbbing Asim Azhar and Coke studio’s very own nightingale Momina Mustehsan are miserably wasted. Coke studio is known for extraordinary music, the unique versatility and euphoric fusion of classic and contemporary.
Mahi Aaja can never be said stands on the mark of that quest of generating the spell bound inimitable music hitting notes of hearts.
Unforunately, another passable rendition.
Aatish

As always another opus Aatish, well written, composed and sung by Shuja Haider has something cheerful and entertaining that holds you to throw your ear in latest episode of coke studio 11. The rhythmic chemistry between the duos is commendable. Shuja Haider is a bag full of talent, class and charm.
Together with Shuja Haider’s vocals in appealing low notes, Aima Baig while hitting top notch of the musical anecdote delivered a different and pleasant sway. Aatish is a mix plate of romantic symphony, pop notch and mellow music. The song has delightful flavours of love, bliss and twinge. Aatish is interesting, appealing and amusing.
Aima Baig collaborated with Shuja Haider for this romantic peppy song. Again, while Aatish is hummable, it is not one you will listen on repeat.
Nami Danam

A different and quite enthralling, another rendition of a classic ‘Nami Danam’, an oeuvre kalam written by Khwaja Usman Hoorani is certainly the show stealer of the episode.
Inspired by the reminiscent of early 90s grungr rock tune, Chand Tara Orchestra gave Nami Danam a new flamboyant avatar.
Chand tara orchestra (CTO) It is Karachi-based music group. They truly delivered a transcendental track that shatters all traditional restrictions, yet maintains the depth of the mystic odes penned by the legend.
Sherry’s range is really remarkable. Babar’s control on bass and Momo’s expertise on guitars gave a new dimension to the song. Rizwan’s harmonica is something out of this world. Overall, ‘Nami Danam’ is a very excellent attempt and a splendid blend of creativity, vision and celebration.
