PSFW'18 - Flaunts Immaculate Fashion Sense
This year's fashion runway intended to inject fresh and young energy.
LAHORE (Web Desk) - The PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week in all its glitz and glamour entered in its eleventh year. The City of Gardens (Lahore) was once again host to 11th edition of PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week (PSFW) 2018. A-list designers showcased indigenous craft by amalgamating it with fresh techniques and cuts.
Designer lineup for menswear this year featured a sparse smattering of heavy-duty names Republic, Rici Melion, Rouge and the majestic HSY.
This year’s fashion runway intended to inject fresh and young energy by paving more way for upcoming designers than ever before. Young designers like Hira Ali and Hussain Rehar made their debut at the most prestigious fashion week of Pakistan.
The lineup this year had Sania Maskatiya, Nida Azwer, Misha Lakhani, Fahad Hussayn, Saira Shakira, Arjumand Bano, Reama Malik (GOLD), Saira Rizwan, Shiza Hassan, Shireen Hassan, Mona Imran and Zonia Anwaar who managed to bring in fashionable moments by featuring soothing pastel hues to a bright array of colors with their impeccable aesthetics.
Textile brands featuring this year included Image, So Kamal, Rang Rasiya and Khas whereas Nabila with her talented team sprinkled their magic backstage.
Day one captured the essence of summer through subtle pastels, exquisite light fabrics and floral motifs. Shahroz Tariq Khan showcased his capsule collection titled ‘Pixelated Euphoria’ for this segment. Jeem by Hamza Bokhari used breathable fabrics for ‘East Bound’ such as chambrays, light weight silks and cottons with cotton thread embroideries. His collection for this segment titled ‘East Bound’ was inspired by the craft of Bhawalpur. One of Pakistan’s leading contemporary fashion house ‘Hira Ali Studios’ showcased the Luxury Prét collection “Woman Is Future”. The collection was a celebration of strong confident women who carve their own paths whereas Akif Mahmood closed the segment.
Day Two at the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week was the strongest day at fashion week in Pakistan. Nomi Ansari set the pace for the day his collection was racy, fun and so perfectly well constructed.
Ali Xeeshan’s forte is theatrics his designs were for women who aren’t afraid of standing out and projected explicit energy on the floor. Sania Maskatiya’s mature and refreshing textile designs proved there’s more to her than prints.
Star-studded event was embellished by top celebrities and well-reputed fashionista’s. Supermodel Amna Ilyas walked the ramp as brand’s celebrity for Fahad Hussayn’s luxury prêt showcase whereas the celebrity sister duo of Sarah Khan and Noor Khan were the showstoppers for Mona Imran. Award-winning super model Mehreen Syed walked the ramp as brand’s celebrity showstopper in HSY’s latest Luxury Prét collection titled “Knight”.
Fashion runway was retouched with vibrant lawn collection and a wide range of floral, geometrical patterns with fusion of beautiful and intricate embroideries in stylized and chic cuts for spring summer collection at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2018.
Kamiar Rokni from The House of Kamiar Rokni served as the official spokesperson whereas Sadia Siddiqui directed PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week (PSFW) 2018 with N-Pro/NGENTs as official hair and makeup stylists.
