Punjab Nahi Jaungi wins big at 17th Lux Style Awards

Star-studded event was held in Lahore.

(Web Desk) – Gorgeous Humayun Saeed and arguably the most popular female face of Pakistani film industry Mahira Khan have won big at star-studded 17th Lux Style Awards.

A number of celebrities attended the prestigious event held at Expo Center in Lahore. A-listers from showbiz industry descended upon putting forward their best fashion fronts.

Best actor and actress

Actor Humayun Saeed won best film actor award for his record-breaking movie Punjab Nahi Jaungi while Mahir Khan bagged the best film actress award for Verna.

Best film and best director (film category)

Punjab Nahi Jaungi— which received phenomenal response at the ticket window —won best movie award. The highest grossing movie in Pakistan’s history stares Humayun Saeed and Mehwish Hayat in the leading roles. The film also bagged award for best supporting actress, best director and best film at Lux Style Awards.

Singer of the year

Singer of the year award was shared jointly by Ali Sethi, Ali Hamza and Waqar Ehsin for Tinak Dhin.

Best singer male and female (film category)

The melodious Rahat Ali Khan clinched the best singer award (male) for ‘Sawaar De’ from Arth-2 while the promising young singer Aima Baig secured best singer award (female) for “Sadqa  from Chupan Chupai.

Album of the year

Hadiqa Kiani s Wajd won the Album of the year award.

Best TV Play

Baaghi—a series based on deceased Qandeel Baloch’s life— bagged the award for the Best TV Play.


Best TV Actor

Ahad Raza Mir’s performance in Yakeen Ka Safar landed him the best TV at 17TH LSA this year.

Best TV Actress

Saba Qamar s performance in Baaghi landed her the Best TV Actress award at the LSA this year.

Model of the Year (Male)

Hasnain Lehri was the recipient of the Model of the Year (Female) award.

Model of the Year (Female)

Amna Babar was the recipient of the Model of the Year (Female) award.
