Sufi poetry brought me fame: Shaukat Ali
Ali said that his Punjabi songs are highly liked in Pakistan and India.
LAHORE (APP):Famous singer Shaukat Ali Friday said that he vocalised hundreds of Punjabi folk songs but earned fame when he started singing Sufi poetry.
Talking to APP here on Friday, he said that besides him other singers earned name through Sufi poetry recitation. He said that Sufi poetry is based on realities and truth and touches the hearts of people.
He said that Sufis have also told message to human beings what God wanted from them. He said that Sufi poetry unites people. He said that his Punjabi songs are highly liked in Pakistan and India.
