On her 44th birthday, here are five of her films that we assume you’d want to watch again:
1- Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai
When people saw Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya teaming up for a film back in the day, they weren’t sure but the film had a story to tell to many. However, this story is not about the hits and flops and is irrespective of the order as well.
2- Mohabbatein
The movie that is more like a legend in the world of films, Mohabbatein is a landmark for film buffs.
Aishwarya played Megha, daughter of a reputed education institution Gurukul’s principal, in the film. There could be people who have not watched the film, so no spoilers. Yes, that is it people.
3- Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam
Another big film with a big star, Aishwarya worked opposite Salman Khan in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and the result was box office gold, once again for Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Again, this is not about hits and flops.
4- Jodhaa Akbar
Every film is important in a career graph but Akbar is one that presumably put the famous ‘can’t succeed after marriage’ notion so prevalent in Hindi film industry, to rest.
We assume Aish was in a ‘rest assured’ kind of a head space after the film was released and loved.
5- Khakee
Since the star has worked with all the big names in the industry, she did Khakee with Akshay Kumar and though 100 crore, 200 crore, 300 crore phenomena had not kicked in at the time, the film was liked across the board.
For those who look for trivias, here is one. Aishwarya was the female lead opposite Aamir Khan in Mangal Panday however, some issues with the filmmakers made her leave the film half-shot.
She is yet to work opposite Aamir among all the names of the industry who enjoy star power.
