She reasoned that she has become closer to her religion Islam and started wearing hijab

(Web Desk) – Popular film and drama artist Noor Bukhari, who worked for over a decade in Pakistani entertainment industry, has decided to quit showbiz and is now only seen wearing hijab during her appearances in shows.

The 35-year-old actress confirmed that she will not star in movies or television anymore after her long career involving several hit films as well as dramas. The artist recently got her divorce from fourth husband Wali Hamid – who happens to be a singer and her co-actor. But to be certain, that’s not the reason of her latest decision.

Noor said she is grateful that Allah has chosen her as she has now developed closeness with her religion Islam. She considered herself lucky and said she will not do any work in showbiz from now on for this very reason. The actress admitted to having faced hardships in past due to personal and professional matters.

When asked whether she will change her decision in future, she told that despite the successful career, her plans are to maintain distance from showbiz. Noor told she has promised herself not to leave her house without hijab and cancel all projects that she signed in recent times. “My hardship brought me closer to Allah,” she said in an interview with The Express Tribune.

Bhai Log actor had become controversial in recent past for not completing her iddat, an Islamic custom in which the female partner stays at home for a prescribed period after divorce. She appeared in morning shows which had upset her relatives and family. Noor’s relatives criticise her for not following the religion “properly”.
